Recently voted, “America’s Most Beautiful Place” by ABC’s Good Morning America audience. The Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is a spectacular coastal park encompassing over 70,000 acres in Benzie and Leelanau counties. The park has over 100 miles of designated trails to hike, cross-country ski, and snow-shoe, plus over thirty miles of undisturbed sugar sand Lake Michigan shoreline. Favorite spots include Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive with its awe inspiring over-looks and Dune Climb. Along with Platte River Point where parents and kids alike ride the current of the Platte River out into the crystal clear Lake Michigan.
